SEEKING VOLUNTEERS FOR THE OAIRP BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Dear Members:
We are seeking volunteers to serve on the OAIRP Board of Directors.
The OAIRP, representing 361 individual LITs in Ontario, was established in 2002. We have been our profession's liaison with the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy, the Ontario Bar Association, the Canada Revenue Agency, the Toronto Bankruptcy Court and the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals.
The OAIRP board members are a mix of corporate and consumer practitioners across the province.
The OAIRP Board of Directors meets monthly from September to June of every year. Our monthly meetings aim to raise/discuss new issues that concern our members, determine if OAIRP should take steps to deal with any problems and obtain updates from various committees. Hence, we all stay current with what's happening in the industry.
The results of our meetings and communications with the above groups are shared with our members, and we provide free education seminars to the insolvency community.
If you are interested in being part of the OAIRP Board of Directors, please submit a letter introducing yourself to the OAIRP nomination committee. The letter should include the area(s) of insolvency in which you practice, the general location of your offices(s), the number of years as a LIT, and what you feel you can contribute to the Board and/or why you would like to be on the Board.
Please submit your letter by June 20, 2025.
