OAIRP Updates > 253 - Deadline extended! Seeking volunteers to serve on the OAIRP Board of Directors
To All OAIRP Members:
There's still time to reach out!
We are seeking volunteers to serve on the OAIRP Board of Directors. And we want to hear from you.
The Ontario Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals was established in 1981 to represent the distinct interests of Ontario-located CIRP/LITs and debtors, and currently represents 369 individual Ontario LITs. OAIRP is our liaison with the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy, the Ontario Bar Association, Canada Revenue Agency, the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals, and the Ontario bankruptcy courts.
OAIRP board members are a mix of corporate and consumer practitioners from across the province. The Board meets monthly between September and June to discuss new issues that concern our members. Its various committees include opportunities to liaise with various stakeholders, provide professional development, and communicate with the membership about ongoing industry developments.
If you are interested in bringing your unique perspective to the OAIRP Board of Directors, please submit a letter introducing yourself to the OAIRP nomination committee. The letter should include the area(s) of insolvency in which you practice, general location of your offices(s), number of years as an LIT, and what you feel you can contribute to the Board and/or why you would like to be on the Board. Please submit your letter to oairpboard@gmail.com by July 31, 2024.
